Viewpoints 9 Launch

Viewpoints 9 Launches March 1st, 2012

I'm really looking forward to participating in the virtual fiber art group, Viewpoints 9, as we go live tomorrow morning.  I'm in the company of 8 wonderful artists from around the world as we set out to challenge our own limits and perceptions of creativity and experience new sources of inspirations.  Every two months an artist will present a new challenge to the group, something I finding exciting and daunting alike!  In response, we will create an 18" x 24"art quilt to be shared in a virtual gallery at the completion of each cycle.  Each artist will create 9 pieces over the course of the next year and a half.

In addition to the beautiful artwork I'm anticipating, I especially look forward to the discussions along the way.  With the diversity of backgrounds, cultures, styles and experiences, I'm expecting the journey to be inspiring as well as illuminating.

I hope you will join the conversation at Viewpoints 9 or on facebook.

Cover Girl

So exciting to find myself on the cover of Cloth, Paper, Scissors March/April magazine.....or more accurately, my "Hope" Prayer Flag was featured along with Jane LaFazio's flags.  Many thanks to Jane for including some of my flags in her wonderful article about The Prayer Flag Project!  The Prayer Flag Project was started by Vivika DeNegre in June, 2011 and invited people from around the world to join in creating "a living, breathing, kinetic journal of our hopes, dreams and concerns".
