Once again it's time for the SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates) Benefit Auction! This is SAQA's biggest fundraiser and last year brought in over $52,000. That money goes to promote exhibitions, cover the costs of catalogs and support a great outreach program. Hundreds of wonderful 12" squares are donated by artists from around the world! As they arrive, they can be viewed on the SAQA website and will become available starting Sunday, September 3rd at 2 PM EST.
My donation this year is from a photo of a quiet courtyard in Santa Fe with the hollyhocks I associate with summer in New Mexico. It's created with hand-painted silk organza that is collaged using fusible web and machine topstitched. It's finished with hand embroidery.

Gee, this would fit into my little, but growing, collection! I love it.
